Along: 33 weeks
Size of baby: LBMH is the size of a pineapple(!) - 19-22 inches long and 4.5 pounds. We got to see him this week (see below), and he is growing perfectly. The maternal/fetal specialist told us it looks like he could be around 7.5 pounds when he's born - give or take a pound... (In other words, that's totally a guess.)
Total Weight Gain: 22 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes, definitely.
Gender: It's a BOY! Reed Lewis Hill
Movement: His movements are VERY strong but also a little slower now. He still is hanging out under my ribs, and mostly on my top left side. Based on the ultrasound, his feet must be the culprits of those sharp jabs.
What I miss: Feeling comfortable. It looks like the home stretch will be filled with various symptoms. Guess that's just the price to pay for our little guy.
Cravings: Fruit (mandarine oranges, apple sauce, orange juice, etc.) has been pretty big in our house this week. Erik has been craving it, too. :)
Symptoms: Heartburn and nausea. Both get worse in the afternoon and evening, which makes dinner less appealing. It's been harder to find something to eat for dinner that sounds good and won't make me feel awful. Dr. Patterson said both symptoms are caused by acid reflux, and she prescribed medicine that I'm hoping with help.
Best moment of the week: Seeing our little guy in (hopefully) our last sonogram and finding out that he is 100 percent healthy. Remember the scare we had around 20 weeks? We had a follow-up appointment with the specialist in Temple on Thursday. When they examined him again, there was absolutely no sign of the choroid plexus cyst - it was completely gone. Praise the Lord! It was comforting to see our boy and how much he has grown. Erik could even pick out the hair on his head!
Looking forward to: Celebrating LBMH and his future best bud Everett James with our church friends and family from CABC. It has been such a blessing to share this time with my sweet friend, Haylie, and I am so excited to celebrate with her and the rest of our friends.
