Along: 35 weeks
Size of baby: LBMH is the size of a honeydew melon - about 20 inches long and 5.5 pounds. Now, he is mostly just adding on weight. He's also adding brain power while he cooks for the next five weeks.
Total Weight Gain: 24 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes, definitely.
Gender: It's a BOY! Reed Lewis Hill
Movement: His movements are very strong and distinct. He's still hanging out near my ribs, which can get pretty uncomfortable. He is definitely running out of room, though, as his movements have slowed down more.
What I miss: Non-stop energy. I used to be able to go and go and go. Now I notice that I get tired much faster and can't do nearly as much in one fell swoop.
Cravings: Chicken salad - and lots it! I had it for lunch several times this week.
Symptoms: Heartburn and nausea - same as before. The medicine that the doctor prescribed isn't curing the symptoms, and I'm still getting nauseous at night. Dr. Patterson suggested trying a few things to see if it helps.
Best moment of the week: Spending a few days with my mom, preparing for LBMH. Mom came down for a few days during spring break, and I took off from work so that we could work on some projects around the house. We got a lot done, but it was just really nice to have some quality time with my momma before Reed gets here.
Looking forward to: Celebrating LBMH with my Texas MBA friends in Dallas. Sweta, Katherine and Rachel are throwing me a shower with our MBA friends. I miss those ladies a ton, and it will be fun to celebrate our little guy with them.
