Along: 29 weeks
Size of baby: LBMH is the size of a butternut squash - 17 inches long and 3.1 pounds. He is definitely getting bigger - and it's showing. I feel like I've really started looking "pregnant" this week.
Total Weight Gain: 20-21 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes, definitely.
Gender: It's a BOY! Reed Lewis Hill
Movement: I am feeling him a lot more now. Last week at work, I felt an especially strong kick that actually hurt. It caught me off guard, but it was neat to feel him so definitively. It's also getting easier for Erik to feel him move, and it's so sweet to see how his face lights up when he feels his little boy.
What I miss: Regular workouts. Today I got back to the gym, and I did a much lighter workout than I am used to doing. I know any activity is good, but I missed being able to run and push myself. But, I tried hard to listen to my body and only focused on moving and stretching. I'll be back to running again soon enough!
Cravings: Still anything with dairy - cereal, greek yogurt, Thin Mint ice cream...
Symptoms: Some heartburn, fatigue and feeling a little light-headed. It seems like the last one only happens when I get too warm or try to do too much. Luckily, it hasn't happened too often and it goes away quickly.
Best moment of the week: Passing my APR exam! I took and passed my Accredited in Public Relations exam on Friday after months of studying. I'm proud of myself for pushing through, putting the time in to study and passing before Reed gets here. (I'm also pretty proud that in the 3.5 hour test, I only took one three-minute bathroom/water break. Pretty good for a pregnant girl...) It was a lot of hard work, but it's done - and I am thrilled.
Looking forward to: Focusing new energy on preparing for Reed to come. Now that I don't have to study at night, I can relax and just take care of things for our little boy. And, I'm pretty excited to read a few books for fun. :)
