Reed is 3 months!

Stats: I'm guessing around 13 pounds and maybe 24-25 inches long. We'll find out next month when we go for his 4 month appointment.

Milestones: Reed has become such a great sleeper. He's definitely got the sleeping through the night routine down pat. He is working on holding his head up and tummy time, but he still has a ways to go before he'll be holding his head up on his own. He'll get there, though!

His biggest milestone this month was his FIRST HAIRCUT! Daddy just couldn't take it any longer, and we gave him a little trim. Reed sat in the Bumbo like a big boy, Momma held his head straight and Daddy cut. The boy's hair is SO LONG! (See below for pics.)

Behavior: Reed is still such a great baby. He's always very laid back and smiles all the time. He only cries when he really needs something - and always when he's hungry.

Sleep: Reed sleeps through the night from after his last feeding. He'll usually go to sleep on the way home from school, sleep until his feeding, then sleep again until his last feeding. He usually wakes up around 7 a.m. when it's time for breakfast. He's a great sleeper!

Clothes: Reed still is in 0-3 month clothes, but I'm pretty sure he's about ready to move up. He's also still in size 1 diapers. We have lots of them, so hopefully he can last until they run out.

Food: He's still eating about half breast milk and half formula. He eats one milk bottle before school, three formula bottles during school and two milk bottles at night. He's eating about 4-5 ounces per bottle.

Likes: Reed loves his swing and will spend as much time in it as we'll let him. He's just starting to like his monkey bouncer and will look at the lights when they flash. Of course, tummy time on Daddy is still his favorite.

Dislikes: He isn't a fan of being wet or cold. Other than that, though, he doesn't really dislike anything...

Favorite Moments: The best moment this month was meeting his GiGi in Arkansas. We drove to El Dorado for a quick trip after the July 4th holiday and met Grandmama, GrandMike, Aunt Erin, Uncle Andy and the cousins at GiGi's house. Reed loved being held by her, and it was sweet to see Erik and his boy with GiGi. She loved holding Reed! It was a sweet time for our family.

Most Challenging: We're still adjusting to Momma being back at work. I love working, but it has been difficult to be away on business trips and balancing a more structured schedule. We are so thankful to have such a helpful Daddy, though. That helps a ton. We even FaceTime as a family while I'm gone, which makes me miss my boys a little less.

Looking Forward To: More milestones! Reed is getting such a fun little personality, and I can't wait to see him become a little person with his own thoughts, feelings and assertions. But don't grow too fast, Little Man... Stay little for a while longer, ok?
