Along: 25 weeks
Size of baby: LBMH is (still) the size of an eggplant - 9.2 inches long and 2 pounds. His eyes are beginning to open this week, and the WTE app said that he may respond to a flashlight. Of course, Erik was disappointed when we tried - and no response. I guess he's taking after his daddy and would rather stay asleep.
Total Weight Gain: 17 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes, definitely.
Gender: It's a BOY! Reed Lewis Hill
Movement: Reed's kicks are more pronounced, but they're still not consistent. He seems to be more active mid-morning and before I go to sleep at night.
What I miss: I miss those few magical weeks in the middle of the second trimester when I felt great. It seems like some of the third-trimester symptoms are kicking in.
Cravings: Greek yogurt and cereal this week. It seems like I've been craving anything that has dairy in it.
Symptoms: One strange spot of pain in my back. I'm thinking I may have just pulled a muscle, and the rest of my back seems to be fine.
Best moment of the week: Spending my last bit of time off with family and friends. Mom and Grandma came down to help with the nursery, and we had a great time just hanging out around the house. I loved having them here in Waco. Then, we celebrated New Year's Eve with our friends from church. It was a "festive sweater" party - so much fun!
Looking forward to: Seeing the nursery come together! I know I said the same thing last week, but we're really getting to the point of starting to pull things together. This week, we'll pick out a paint color and start getting the bones of the room set. I think color on the walls and furniture in the room will make it real that our little man will live there soon.
