11 week update

Along: 11 weeks

Size of baby: LBMH is about the size of a lime. All of his or her organs are formed. From here on out, LBMH is just growing big and strong!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Not much yet. I can feel my clothes getting tighter, but the scale is still only 1-2 pounds up.

Maternity Clothes: Sweet Paige brought me a TON of her maternity clothes this week. Before my trip to Dallas this weekend, I organized my closet and pulled anything that I think I can wear for  while to the front, along with the clothes Paige brought over. Then, Mom and I went shopping this weekend for a few basic pieces - a great pair of jeans, a few tops and a "belly band." (Hard to explain, but it fits over your regular pants and allows you to wear them for a while longer.) I tried the band out on Saturday night with my suit pants, and it worked great! Hopefully all of this will hold me over for several more weeks.

Gender: ???

Movement: None yet!

What I miss: Diet Coke and wine. Not too much of either, but a glass would be nice.

Cravings: WATER (lots and lots of water) It sounds strange, but I crave water all. the. time. I can't get enough. I also made an impromptu stop at the Czech Stop on my way home this weekend. Kolaches and chocolate milk sounded really good. Unfortunately, the chocolate milk turned out to be too much, and I ended up with a stomachache. Guess that proves why Mom always made us mix ours with skim milk growing up...

Symptoms: (some) nausea and shrinking pants

Best moment of the week: Telling everyone about LBMH! We went ahead and posted the announcement on Facebook last week, and we were overwhelmed by all of the encouragement from friends and family. It seems silly that social media makes things "official," but it is nice to hear from everyone. Also, I love being able to talk about the baby without having to consider who knows and who doesn't.

Looking forward to: getting my new jeans tailored. Seriously, they are cute. And they are way more comfortable than regular pants.
