Dear LBMH,
Next to telling your Daddy, telling our families was probably the most fun thing about starting this new adventure. We didn't tell them right away, though. For about a week, just me and Daddy knew. It was our secret - and that was really fun!
The week after we found out, we decided to call your Grandmomma first. Daddy called her and put the phone on speaker, so we could both tell her. We talked for a few minutes, and then your Daddy said "Well, you're going to be a grandma again!" Grandmomma was so, so excited and very surprised. She didn't believe us at first, so we had to convince her that we really were telling the truth. Her reaction was priceless.
Next, we called Aunt Erin. Daddy did the same thing - put her on speaker and told her she was going to be an aunt. As soon as we told her, Aunt Erin screamed with excitement! She told Alek, Kyle and Katelyn that they were going to have a cousin. You are their first cousin, and they are really pumped.
The next weekend, we had Grandma and Grandpa Lewis over for dinner to tell them the good news. (Don't get confused if these names change - we're not quite sure exactly what you'll call them...) Momma had a photo from her UT graduation to give them, so I wrapped the framed photo in a UT gift bag. BUT at the bottom of the bag, I wrapped a sign that says "Future Bear Hibernating" in green and gold.

Paige helped me find it - I told her at lunch that day and then we had so much fun shopping for something to tell Grandma and Grandpa.
As soon as Grandma and Grandpa got to our house, we gave them the gift to unwrap. At first, they didn't see the sign at the bottom. Once they did find it, Grandma looked at me with a surprised look and Momma said "We're having a baby!" We all hugged and celebrated and talked about all of the fun things that are to come.
Here are some pictures from that night. Please excuse the fact that Momma looks a little scrubby. Pregnancy has not be so easy, and I haven't felt well for about two months. You will be worth it, but it doesn't make for cute pictures.

Over the next few weeks, we told our close friends and family one at a time. It has been fun to share the excitement with them and think about what you will be like. You are so loved already.
Our first doctor's appointment isn't until Sept. 14, and we want to make sure that everything is going well before we start telling everyone about you. Until then, Momma and Daddy - and all of the people who love you - will be praying that you're growing big and strong.
We love you so much,
Momma & Daddy
